Jan 6, Need Advice for Wedding Embroidery

I'm engaged! I need advice on how what types of wedding embroidery you recommend. I want to include handmade work in what I wear and also in the attire of others in the wedding party wear. Hopefully, the ceremony will take place in a church and the reception will be outside on a lawn.

What looks good on a bridal gown? Crewel, hardanger, beads? And what should I do for my veil? I read about how to do embroidery on tulle, but I don't know what kind of pattern would look good.

Also, is there a way to add embroidery into the groom's outfit, like maybe something on his belt?

Plus there's the bridesmaids and groomsmen. Maybe something small as a detail around the skirt hems?

I saw a ring bearer pillow, but we're not doing rings.

I'm totally open to ideas and welcome everyone's suggestions! What have you used, what worked, and what didn't work?

Thanks in advance for your help!
Amy
